6 years and going strong!!

Well Sunday was our sixth anniversary!! I can't believe its been six years. I was thinking about it the other, I have know Brad for almost half my life. And most of that time we were either dating or married!!!Here's us in the begining, VERY young!! (Oakland)

It has been a great six years!! Most days I think about how blessed I am to have married such a great man!! The other days I have to remind myself of that. Hehehe!!

Who do you like more?

This morning Brad, Madison, and I were in our bed playing. Brad was pretending to throw a fit because Madison was playing with me and not him. Then I said "that's ok mom's more fun anyways!!" and of coarse Brad denied that and said " Who do you like more?" Of coarse she said "Mommy!!" Then he said he wasn't going to play with her (big baby.) He asked her again and she said "both of um." I have a VERY diplomatic daughter. Brad says I have to put that she kept switching after that, when we would ask her (you think he's a little insecure?).

BUT we all know the first response is the right one!! hehehehehe!!

New Job!!!!

Well its official, Brad is going to the sheriffs academy on October 6th. I am soooo excited!! He actually starts working on the 29th. What a blessing, we will now have insurance, paid time off (more than a week),promotions, retirement....... and so much more!!! What a blessing!!! I can not explain how exited I am!!! For those who haven't heard he's going to be working for the Washoe Sheriff's Department. The academy is 18 weeks in Reno. Now he is wanting to go back to school, which make promotions easier. He will actually get 30 credits for going to the academy. Anyways, we are soooo proud of him!! YEAH!!!!!!

Picture Day

We went to Reno today for one of Brad's tests for the sheriffs office. So we decided to brave pictures. We had to take advantage of the free 8x10 for birthdays. So here they are, the girls did GREAT!! It was the easiest time we have ever had!!

My Baby is THREE!!!!

Today is Madison' s birthday, she is now 3!!! I can't believe how fast time has gone by. So here is Madison!! Hospital picture (obviously)

I just think how blessed I am to have this beautiful little girl!! I just love her so much, "vinegar" and all.

Ants!!

Today I watched Lynnie, Madison and her had such a great day!! It was very comical, they would each come in from outside, for the other, and ask for something. Lynnie came in to tell me Madison's bottle was broke and asked me to fix it, then Madison came in and told me Lynnie needed more water. Later they both came in rather quickly, and informed me that the ants were eating Madison's snack. So I told them that if she didn't put them down they would eat them. Madison then looked at me very seriously and said

"their looking at them,"

heaven forbid!!! Then Lynnie said

"Can you kill them?!"

Imagine if we got the death sentence for looking at someone else's food!! That's a pretty tuff punishment.

6 weeks!!!

So Emma is now six weeks old!! I can't believe it. Time has gone by so fast!! I really think she growing faster then Madison did. Now I don't know if that is because I have two now and I'm busier or if its because she's got more Schmidtlein in her then Madison does.

Her big sister loves her sooo much and is already protecting her when people try to touch her.

Prayers

We have been working on Madison saying her own prayers. She is very good at repeating what we say and so lately we've been trying to be better about having her say them on her own. She always forgets how to start them and so we prompt her and then there is a long pause and she will usually say some things with out us telling her to. WELL tonight was no different, she started said thank you for my family and then her bum.

That's right she said

"Thank you for my BUM!!!"

I was actually peaking to see if she was messing around and she actually put her hand on her bum when she said it. She then proceeded with "thank you for my toes, and lips, and arms, and eyes, and nose...." But I thought it was so funny that she remembered her bum. I really had to struggle not to laugh out loud!!!! It's so funny the things kids say!!

Working with Dad

Not only do I have a handy man but I've got a handy little girl!!

Brad had been trying to get his truck working and has had lots of help. Today Madison was getting different sizes when they wouldn't "fit." She just loves being out with her Dad!! I love it too, except when I have to bathe her afterwards!! She gets so messy she has to strip before she comes in the house. But I figure who cares, she's having fun and I'm getting to get stuff done inside!!

Parade

On Monday we went to the parade and Madison and Lynnie went on the Lewis' float. Apparently Madison was not as good at throwing candy this year!! This is where she was the whole time. Eating the candy!!
