Frustration

OK, so I just have to complain for a minute!! I have been working out every weekday since Emma was six weeks for forty five minutes to an hour. Eating Oatmeal every morning (weekdays also) to be healthy....and nothing is happening. Actually I think I have gained weight. I'm starting to get VERY frustrated. I know it takes some time but REALLY its been a MONTH. Yes, I have had the occasional break down and had sweets (Brya made some REALLY good pumpkin cookies, thanks a lot) but still that shouldn't do that much. PLUS I'm nursing isn't that supposed to help with weight loss? I need help, any suggestions?

the best advice i can give is PATIENCE. may-be your body needs to hold on to some of it for the milk.
you can try and mix it up a bit. for example: instead of running, do tae bow. etc.

Erin,
First of all you look great! And give yourself some time for heaven's sake. Your baby is only 2 months old! I haven't started to work out yet, but I plan to try spin classes. I heard they work really well. To lose weight after Joslyn I ran about 3 miles a day and did weight watchers. It still took a couple of months to lose it. And as for nursing, it has never helped me to lose weight. I actually lose about 10lbs when I stop nursing. It works for some women but not for me! Hang in there and like I said before, you look great anyway! Justin keeps making me pumpkin cookies too. They are so good, but I told him he can't make any more!

I hear your frustration. Despite what anyone else says, I always feel like I'm not losing the weight fast enough after the baby comes! I don't lose it all if I'm nursing, either. That seems to add about 5-10 pounds for me. I did discover that jogging helps me, though. Or even just nice long walks with my kids in the stroller. It helped me to lose in the right places a little more, even if I didn't lose it all, which I haven't with both! Your kids are beautiful, BTW, and congrats to you guys on the new job! And hey, if you get more frustrated, just eat more yummy pumpkin cookies!

First of all, I think you look great also! However, nursing doesn't help everyone lose weight, for some it's the opposite. I am one of those people. I was only able to lose a little bit of weight while I nursed and then my body kept extra "stores" of food in case the baby was starving I guess! Once I quite nursing the weight fell off, so just be patient and know that once the nursing is done hopefully that weight will just fall off!
